The Resident stays until death or level of care needs to be outsourced Legacy Home is named after donating caregivers’ preference.
Following kin expiration, the home continues ongoing functioning as support for people with need-based support.
Continues to provide community support and living arrangements for people with need-based support after initial resident vacates
Safe Landings assumes ownership, manages the home and takes over taxes, insurance and mortgage costs,
The maintenance and upkeep of the physical structure is managed by Safe Landings and its partners
The home is leased back to the caretaker’s kin as Safe Landings will assist with arranging rental subsidies available through the state as needed.
Support is also provided to access food stamps, local food banks and funding as appropriate.
Any deficiency between rental reimbursement and market rent provided by Safe Landings for the lifetime of kin occupancy Legacy Housing Program support choice and the flexibility for caregiver selection and provides flexibility with the election of approved providers for ongoing support.

The caretaker funds the house to ensure their kin’s ongoing housing support is met for the remainder of life (or medically appropriate).
